ADDING MORE ICONS TO FOLDER CUSTOMIZATION.....

Greetings-- I am wondering where to get, and more importantly "how" to install, icon images for folders. I know how to change a folder icon - with the icons supplied by Windows/Microsoft - but most of these icon images are "bland." Can someone tell me if there is a website that offers 'free' folder icons? And, once I find said website, then after downloading icons onto my computer, can someone tell me how I then put them in an icon folder so I can use them to change icon pictures on a folder {I believe it has an .iso suffix?}.....? Thank you. I look forward to hearing from someone.

    :)

  3. Adding a folder as an Icon to the Taskbar

    Hello Bluehills,

One possible way to add a folder as an icon to the taskbar in Windows 11 is to use the Quick Launch toolbar. Here are the steps to do that:

    1. Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select Toolbars > New toolbar.

    2. In the dialog box that opens, navigate to the folder that contains your shortcuts and select it. Click on Select Folder.

    3. You should see a new toolbar on the right of the taskbar with the name of the folder. You can drag it to adjust its position and size.

    4. To remove the text and show only icons, right-click on the toolbar and uncheck Show Text and Show Title.

    5. To change the icon of the folder, right-click on it and select Properties. Click on Change Icon and choose an icon from the list or browse for a custom one. Click OK to apply the changes.

You have now added a folder as an icon to the taskbar in Windows 11. You can access your shortcuts by clicking on the icon and choosing from the menu that pops up.

    Hope this helps,
