    Adding programs/commands to quick launch

So I've got my Windows 10 looking like my Windows 7 now with a quick launch on the left side like I like it, but I want to add a couple more things to the quick launch.

One is a button to do what Windows-Tab does in Windows 10. Sometimes I'm just clicking around the screen with my mouse and it's just more "convenient" to click on a button instead of doing the keystrokes. How do you go about making a file that would do this command?

The other is to move the Task View command into the quick launch, too. I do find it to be a handy addition, but I don't like it sitting there "all alone" by the start button. It's aesthetically displeasing to me. I want to put it in the quick launch and hide the other one. Is this possible? If so, how?

Thanks, all. Looks like you've got a good bunch of knowledgable helpers here.

    :)

  2. i think ive installed 2 free apps on new computer running windows 10 but i cant find them on the list - where are they?

Did you download from the Internet using a web browser or did you download them from the Windows Store?

Did you try using the Search command from the Start menu?

Win10Pro: Quick Launch toolbar is in the wrong place. Any way to move it to the left end of the toolbar?

Just got a new PC win Win10Pro installed, moving from Win7Pro.

I added the "Quick Launch" toolbar and believe that it's in the wrong place for it to behave correctly with the notification icons. Is there any way to move it?

The notification icons are on the far right and grow to the left. The Quick Launch icons appear to the left of the notification icons and grow to the right if additional items are added.

As a result, as the notification icons are turned on as needed, the Quick Launch toolbar can be forced to hide the right-most icons due to lack of space, and then show ">>" to allow access to the now hidden icons. This makes the "Quick" part of "Quick Launch"
    meaningless.

On Win7, the Quick Launch icons were on the left, in their own reserved space which was not disturbed by other activity on the toolbar.
