Adding second device with Win11 for a family member

Hello. One of my kids got a new PC with Win11. The kid logged with Microsoft account and has user not admin permissions on this PC. When the kid logs into microsoft account in browser and looks at the devices - there are 3 devices there all to which he ever logged in, including the new Win11 PC. However in Microsoft Family Safety web console and mobile app the parent can only see one device for him. Not the one he is currently using. Even after 3 hours. How to make the new PC appear in parent's Family Safety app and be able to set limits for it?

    :)

  2. Adding Family Members

    Hi,

Through my Windows 10 I invited my family members although they never accepted the invitation. I want to resend the invitations but when I go to do that, it says they're already family members; they're not even listed (or even showing there's an invite)
through the family members window. What do I do?

    Thanks so much.

broken "family member needs to sign in"

Parental controls stopped working. Family.Microsoft.com has alert: "Your family member needs to sign in to their Windows 10 device AngLaptop2014 for family features to work.

But the "how to fix this" says

    • Select Accounts > Family & other people
    • Under Your family, select your family member, then select Allow
    • Have your family member sign in with their Microsoft account if asked to
And the steps don't apply. The account is already allowed, and there is no option to change that.

    Now what???

  4. Adding second device with Win11 for a family member

Adding additional devices to family members

I have a MS Family subscription. One of my family members has a Surface Pro connected. That family member has purchased a new Surface Pro, but has not started it up yet. We want BOTH of these computers connected. How do I add this second Surface Pro to my existing family member? Will this occur automatically, when the new Surface Pro is started up? If not, what is the procedure?
