Windows 10: Adding Tags & Details to Folders Update?

Is there any (easy) was to add details or tags to folders? I have no coding-type knowledge/ experience. I know this is an old question (to which the answers I've found are all NO), but I'm hoping that maybe Microsoft has a feature hidden in Windows 10 that I might not have discovered yet? Maybe a way to organize based on tags within the folders? Or maybe there's an app out there that would make this possible?

I know how to add details to individual files and sort them that way, and that's what I'm looking to do on a folder-sized scale. I'm trying to avoid making hundreds of copies of the same document and am trying to stay away from using Short-cuts as well (unless I simply have no choice, but I'm not super sure how that can help me much as I can't add Details to the shortcuts either?)


A little background to clarify my question/ where it's coming from:

I'm trying to make one folder-location for Client Files (pictures, scanned paperwork, etc) in a Shared-Drive location on our computer system at work. This folder is to be arranged by Client Name (Last, First). I'd like to be able to add tags to these folders so that the Client Files folder could be arranged by tag, and I could tag each client folder so that they can be arranged by purchased product category (the same way I can arrange the pictures within the folders by title, subject, etc).

Print or find all photo tags used in Windows 10

Hi,

Adding tags on your photos will help you easily find the photos you're looking for. If you would like to find the the list of photo tags you used, you may perform these steps:

• Open Windows Explorer.
• View your folder in Details view to see tags.
• Click Tags to sort by any of the tags.

How to remove bad (misspelled) TAG from Suggested list.

I have been adding TAGS to images to make them easier to sort. In my haste I spelled a name wrong. Now when I view the DETAILS view pane and then I click into the TAGS bar, and start entering a name, I get a pop-out list of all TAG suggestions starting
with that letter that narrows down as I add more of the word. But as more and more people get added to the (good) TAG list, the misspelled one is taking up space. Where can I go in Win10 (updates up to Nov 2019) to see and remove unwanted TAGS so they are
not "suggestions" and removed from the list? It seems reasonable that it would let me even DELETE the entire list and the list would rebuild with tags used in a folder so only a "live" list (yes, maybe even a misspelled one that still needs corrected) would
soon repopulate.

IE: I added "Mark" and I added "John", then I was typing and realized that if I right-arrow over the semicolon I could add TAGS for John and Mark to a group of selected pictures, cutting out discrete clicks. In my haste I didn't hit the right-space between
the names and then hit ENTER to tag the selected pictures. All TAGged as "John Mark"; I realized my mistake, deleted the tag and re-entered them as discrete tags. So, now, when I go to add a tag, and type in "m" there is a suggestion for all my tags that
start with m, and "John Mark" is in the list. I want to remove "John Mark" as a suggested tag.

SO: How do I edit to remove bad TAG suggestions in Win10?

 

Windows Explorer/file Properties Details not displaying tags


I'm trying to tag documents so they can be found easily but I don't have the option to add a tag to a file. The Details panel in my Windows Explorer does not display tags in the list of properties. Also, when I right-click a file, go to Properties and then click the Details tab, tags are not listed there either.

Is there a way to turn this feature on? Thanks in advance for any help.
