Windows 10: AddInProcess High GPU Using Nvidia GTX 1070

Hello everyone.To anyone wondering why your graphics GPU is running at 100% while you're Pc is at idle and your task Manager shows your GPU running at 100 percent though you are not running games or heavy programs.you'll notice this AddInProcess in the Task Manager and notice this is running at 100 percent.There is really nothing can do other than to reset your Pc setting to factory new or unless someone else discovered another way to solve this crazy problem which I have not found from any other source.Some of the other possible fixes did nothing but cause much more problems.I have an all-S

GTX 1070, Normal Temperature but High RPM Fans

No I haven't contact them.
Right now I'm using 388.71 driver and with this it looks like solve the issue.

I forgot to mention that I have two 4K monitors, although I only use one monitor most of the time.So I'll just describe all steps I've made, because I'm not sure what step(s) solve it.1. Downgrade GeForce driver (from 390.77 -> 390.65 -> 388.71)2. Downgrade BIOS from 7A33v39 to 7A33v36 (Failed, because it won't accept BIOS with release date older than the one I currently use)3. Reset BIOS to system default4. Use jumper to clear CMOS5. Use another GPU (AMD Radeon R7 260X) to determine if it was the GPU or other issue, the GPU fan works just fine6. Reseted GTX 1070 to another PCI-E slot7. Blows the 1070's fans and heatsink with my mouth, although it looks not dirty8. Boot with essential components only9. And this is the step that, I guess, solves the issue. Connect the 2nd monitor only via HDMI, leave my main monitor (via DisplayPort) unplugged, then boot my PC -> shut down -> plug my main monitor. High End GPU Shortage???

Whose to blame for the shortage in high-end GPUs? Is it these crypto miners or should part of the blame be placed on the manufacturers deliberately keeping the demand up?

AMDs RX-480/580 cards are like gold dust and fly out the retail door before they've even been put on shelves and GTX-1070s/1080s at over inflated prices due to high demand.

I've just been reading that in Italy,..there is a shortage of high-end GPUs and even many retailers and online stores in Germany are suffering shortages too. In fact, it seems this is a Europe-wide problem with sellers experiencing problems obtaining high-end GPU stocks with waiting lists up to three months!

 

having issues with multi GPU

I’m trying to offload certain apps to my iGPU on the second screen, using the new graphics settings in the recent win 10 release. the issue is it’s only showing my 1070. lists it as both power saving GPU, and
high performance GPU.

I’ve been fiddling for a while now with no joy, and i’m really hoping one of you guys has an idea they can suggest to sort this!

I can extend onto the second screen no probs with it plugged into the iGPU, but the 1070 is still listed as both power saving GPU and high performance GPU.

Are there requirements for this? certain level of iGPU for it to work?

Edit - setting the secondary screen connected to the iGPU to be the "main" display in graphics settings makes my iGPU show as both power saving and high performance GPU, I just can't seem to get them
to be one and not the other.
