Windows 10: Adjusting touchscreen sensitivity on a Surface Pro 4?

I'm not sure what category this fits under, so it's under general.

I'm doing some tech support for a friend of the family and she's mentioned that she finds the touchscreen very difficult to make work - having to press quite hard (which may not be that hard by most people's standards - she's getting on). I've found a document describing how to alter the latency variables in the registry (here: How To Improve Microsoft Surface Touch Responsiveness), though I'm not sure if it will solve the issue or not.

Is there anything else I could try?

After updates for Windows Surface Pro 4 there is no longer have any touch sensitivity
