    Hi! Whenever I try to change my permissions to Admin I get the response Access Denied no matter which method I use, including via regedit. My laptop was recently rebuilt and I suspect Windows 10 was loaded using a digital key. Could this be my problem and if so how do I fix it?

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    ok changed added admin password for d in safe mode!
    Ok, now this is weird: XP repair will not accept my new password! WTF?
