Windows 10: Admin email replaced with hackers email. How can I point admin role to new email?

I do my club's accounting. We bought a computer just for the club. In January the log-in password did not work and we reset it to a new one. Upon looking deeper I found that the original admin email that ended in @aol.com was replaced with same, but with @hotmail.com. The security updates won't work until the admin email is verified. Even if I asked to reset the password, you would verify it with the hacker's alternate email or phone number. I set-up a family and friends Microsoft email account and made it an admin, but unless I can delete the hacker's email, it won't work. What are my options?

Unauthorized Emails from my account?

It is more than likely that your email account was hacked, either by a virus sniffing your password, or just simply hacked.

Either way, change your password on your email account. Unfortunately the damage by already be done. They already have your contact list and your email address associated with that contact list. There is nothing stopping them from sending out emails using their own SMTP servers to everyone on your contact list and claiming the emails are from your email address. They don't actually have to have access to your yahoo account or even any yahoo server to send emails to people that come from your address.

hotmail is full of security risks, accounts get stolen there all the time.

yahoo has a useless spam filter, almost as bad as hotmail - tons of spam gets in, but at least legit emails dont end up in the spambox.

gmail never screws up between real emails and spam, and seems to 'just work' - it was also first (dunno if anyones copied it) to have a 'real time' email system, so new emails just appear in there, you dont have to refresh or click anything to see if new emails have appeared... making email notification programs useless.. just leave the gmail tab open in your browser.

 

Email hacked?

I'm stumped trying to figure out why my mom (and a number of other people on my contact list) have received a spam email coming from me. It goes along the lines of: "Hello! <insert link to some Viagra page at some Canadian pharmacy website here>". I'm using Yahoo mail. I have a friend who says he's been getting spam emails from one of his friends, who also uses Yahoo mail. I'm wondering if something's going on with Yahoo mail, or is this just some coincidence, and if it is just a coincidence, then who hacked my email, and how did they even do it? I certainly never told anyone my password for anything, let alone my email address. I don't have a keylogger or any other virus either, I just ran a full malwarebytes scan and it came back clean.
