Windows 10: Admin not being accepted?

Discus and support Admin not being accepted? in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Cannot make changes to my Win 10 machine since changing password twice and rebooting today.     Admin not being accepted?


    Cannot make changes to my Win 10 machine since changing password twice and rebooting today. Need to download programs but cannot without making changes to the PC. Been at this for over 12 hours. New password seems to work okay in other areas. Tried MS support multiple times with no success. Not even sure now whether I am an admin. Please Help?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.

    Hi,

    We are sorry that the issue still persists.

    I suggest you to check if the issue persists in the Built-in Administrator account
    (hidden administrator account). To enable the account, follow the steps below:

    • Right Click on Start and select “Command Prompt (Admin)”.
    • Accept the UAC prompt if required.
    • Type “net user administrator /active:yes” (without quotes).

    Once you have enabled the account, you will see it listed in the user accounts control panel applet. Login to the account and check for status.

    To disable the built-in Administrator account, follow the steps provided above and in step 3 type the command line provided below:

    “net user administrator /active:yes” (without quotes).

    Keep us posted on the status for further assistance.
