Windows 10: Admin unable to use Authenticator app - and thererfore locked out of making changes to...

Hello.I own a small business and am therefore Admin of my Microsoft account with no other IT support. I have a Microsoft Work/Education Account which was created under using a .onmicrosoft.com domain because Microsoft forced me to use this many years ago.Sometime ago, after persistent nagging from Microsoft, I set up or more accurately attempted to set up – more later MFA using the Authenticator app.Skip forward 12 to 18 months.I recently purchased a new computer running Win 11. When starting the computer I am prompted to set up Hello pin. To do this I am instructed to use MFA via the

Unable to change default app by protocol or filetype.

Hi, I don't have Acrobat installed. With Sumatra as my default pdf reader, that hyperlink to a pdf docoument opens in.. yes.. Sumatra. Changing to Edge:




the hyperlink opens in... yes.. Edge.

If, as seems the case, Bluebeam is correctly associated with pdf files, I can't say why the hyperlink fails. Your guess about the protocol may be right- I don't know. If you could make any change to that to test that theory, as you suggest, that would help.
