Windows 10: Administrative Password is not working. There is no other user account to show.

My son used my computer recently. I don't know what he did to it. He has not explained to me anything that he may have done. But each time I start the computer, it cannot accept my PIN. I have tried to use the advanced tool in troubleshooting, but nothing is working. It is always taking me back to the restart button, where I have to enter the admin password. The admin password that I can remember is not working. I need your help. Can someone help me please?

I understand your concern and will assist you to resolve this issue.

You can Enable the built in Administrator account in Windows 10, then create an Administrator account.

I suggest you to refer the steps below and check if it helps

• 
  Press Windows+ X, select
  Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
  
• 
  When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
  
• 
  At the command prompt, type net user administrator /active: yes, and then press Enter.
  
• 
  Type net user administrator
  <Password>, and then press Enter.
  
  Note In this command, <Password> represents the actual password that you want to set for the administrator account.
  
• 
  Type exit, and then press Enter.
  
• 
  Log off the current user account. And login and check the are you able to open the files

deleting administrator account w/o having password

When it asks non-admin accounts for an admin password to authorise something, it routinely suggests the last admin account used. If you click on More choices, you will see a list of admin accounts and you can just select the one you now have access to. The next time the dialog appears it will suggest that as the admin account to use to give permission to proceed.



Once you have done this and seen it all working, you can either delete her old account [after having checked her user folders to make sure there is nothing there you need] or, assuming it is a local account not an MSAccount, just reset her password then put on a new one** so that the account is available as a spare admin.

It wont seem to accept "run" as a valid word?

I clicked on Command Prompt - changed to c:\

Couldn't find Run as Administrator either.

Eventually tried the command (admin) and it took me to the Admin User login screen.

"Newusername

It says BRIAN-HP/Newusername

Password"

I have no idea how to rename this Admin Account or create a password for it.
