  1. Administrative rights on network computers?

    Hi folks,

    New user here!

I'm wondering if anyone here can point me in the right direction?

I'm trying to set up Unreal Engine's NDisplay on multiple computers (sorry, most people prolly won't know what i'm talking about!)

From the Unreal docs, it states:

Make sure that the Windows account you intend to use on the master computer has administrative rights on all computers you intend to use in the nDisplay network.

OK, i've been googling like crazy and i can find nothing online about this. There's plenty of info about administrative rights on the same computer, but network computers? I'm a pretty proficient computer user but networks is just not something i've ever needed to delve too deeply into!

One other thing to mention: both computers are using Win 10 Home, perhaps it's not even do-able with this version?

Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated!

    :)

Go find a small church or school and volunteer to be a "network administrator" for them. That is how I started out.

    Administrative rights on network computers?

    Network Administrator

a network administrator is a more hands on job than a security expert, but regardless of whether you're a girl or not it's not that physically demanding. It is like an electrician, with a much less likelihood of deadly shock *Wink Administrative rights on network computers? ;)

essentially you would implement new technologies when necessary, and keep the network running smoothly otherwise. this mostly means allowing/blocking users/applications and generally monitoring for hiccups. there will be regular maintenance and troubleshooting, and the specifics of those you will recognize after taking your course.

different companies will add different responsibilities, and in many cases you are responsible for the individual computers as well as the network.
