Windows 10: Administrator and Standard permissions for software.

Hi,on my grandson`s pc which I built,I have 2 accounts,1 for me as administrator so I can set screen times and 1 for my grandson as standard account.He originally had Lan-Li L3 Connect software for his RGB lighting which was working ok,but for some reason he deleted the software and then asked me to redownload it which I did,I did this when in his account but the problem is when you click to open it asks for administratorMe pin number,now obviously I don`t want to give him my pin number in case he changes screen time etc.Question is,is there any way round this problem,thanks for reading,Mic

Let us assist you to have an Administrator permission. To start, follow the steps below to enable the Windows Super Administrator Account.

• Type CMD on the search box.
• CMD will appear at top.
• Right click on it, then choose Run as administrator.
• Type this command & hit Enter: Net user administrator /active:yes.
• After you enable the Super Administrator account, log out on your existing account then log into Super Administrator account.
• On the Super Administrator account, you can now create an Administrator account or give Administrator permission on the existing account.

After you created an Administrator account, we suggest that you disable the Super Administrator account by following the same steps and using this command:
Net user administrator /active:no.

Lost all Administrator permission

Hello,

I have lost all my administrator permission. I have two profiles but both profiles are standard. I have tried every option that were listed on existing forums. Every option leads me to a pop-up screen stating I have no permission. Are there any other recommendations?

 

HOW TO TURN ON CORTANA ADMINISTRATIVE PERMISSION

To turn on Cortana's administrative permissions, you can follow these steps:

1. Click on the Start Menu button in the lower left corner of your screen and type "Cortana" in the search bar.
   
2. Right-click on the Cortana search result and select "Run as administrator" from the menu.
   
3. If prompted by User Account Control, click "Yes" to grant administrative access.
   
4. Once Cortana is open with administrative permissions, you should be able to access any features or settings that require elevated privileges.
