  1. Administrator Permissions Windows 10

I recently purchased an Acer Aspire E 15 and am running Windows 10 behind Classic Shell (as I am not fond of recent Windows formats - I'd prefer going back to 3.1, but that's a different issue). I have a number of programs that I am trying to run, VueMinder Lite for example.

When I try to start it I get a message stating "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." Initially I was able to right click and use "Run as Administrator", but on my most recent attempt even that was unsuccessful.

I tried to use a fix listed on an article in which Windows SmartScreen seemed to be the answer, but I can't find it anywhere on my computer.

    I'd appreciate any assistance.

    Thank you!

    :)

    no administrator permission

    Hi Ryan,

Let us assist you to have an Administrator permission. To start, follow the steps below to enable the Windows Super Administrator Account.

    • Type CMD on the search box.
    • CMD will appear at top.
    • Right click on it, then choose Run as administrator.
    • Type this command & hit Enter: Net user administrator /active:yes.
    • After you enable the Super Administrator account, log out on your existing account then log into Super Administrator account.
    • On the Super Administrator account, you can now create an Administrator account or give Administrator permission on the existing account.

After you created an Administrator account, we suggest that you disable the Super Administrator account by following the same steps and using this command:
    Net user administrator /active:no.

Let us know how it goes.

How is the NAS on windows 10 Pro? Is it software or a share? Did you check ntfs vs share permissions?

    Administrator Permissions Windows 10

    Windows 10 permissions...

Ok so I feel officially dumb I am trying to copy my steam library to my NAS. Both are on windows 10 pro and both have full control in the file manager. Neither windows nor fast copy will allow me to copy, both list a permissions error? This was never an issue with windows 7...so first off thank you microsoft god forbid I want to back up my data, second off what the heck do I need to do to make this work. All I could fine online was to set full control and that obviously didn't help.

Also robocopy doesn't apparently work with network locations?
