Windows 11 resembles malware in many respects .the administrator restrictions prevent me from copying entire folder yet allows the files within to be copied !what then is the purpose of the administrator restriction besides annoying people and causing lost productivity ?Absolutely useless piece of software

    Java.nio.file - Copying files

You can't copy a folder, thats why it generates an exception (you are trying to copy a folder using a copy file function).
You probably need to list all the files inside that folder and copy one by one

Error code 0x80004005 wphen copying files from one folder to another.

Thank you for the update, let's try the same, but with the files you are trying to copy.

First, try running the Windows File Explorer as administrator:

    1. Right-click on the Windows File Explorer icon.

    2. Select "Run as administrator."

    Then, try the following:

    1. Attempt the file copying process again within the elevated File Explorer.

    4. Right-click on the individual file(s) you're trying to copy, rather than the entire folder.

    5. Go to Properties.

    6. Navigate to the Security tab.

    7. Ensure your user account has "Full Control" under the permissions list.

    8. If not, edit the permissions to grant "Full Control."

And for an extra step, just to understand the problem, try copying a different file or create a new test file. See if you encounter the same problem. This can help isolate whether the issue is with specific files or the entire process.
