  1. Administrator rights reduced to Local?

Administrator rights reduced to Local? I am the Administrator! I'm the only USER on this CPU. This BS is costing me money! I have a small business to run! And that stupid UAC is denying everything I try. There's no way to turn that off. Not without my Administrator privileges! I want answers!

    :)

  3. administrator rights.

Try this article (after reading the notes below): http://www.thewindowsclub.com/lost-administrative-rights-in-windows

You might need to create the initial local account it suggests in Settings rather than control panel, as 'Manage Other Accounts' requires a prompt. My UAC was at the default 'programs only, not user changes' and nothing came up.

Similarly, the netplwiz option didn't need a prompt.

I will try this by creating a test local account and upgrading to admin within it, then reply to this comment (safe mode and the other article steps might be needed in your case).

    Administrator rights reduced to Local?

    Administrator rights & restart

    Hi walkerpbus,

What account are you using to log in to your computer (local or Microsoft account)? You can find the information by going to
Settings, then selecting Your info. The details would be
under the username listed. This will help us identify what is the next step to perform. Regarding having administrator rights, can you provide a screen shot of what you mean?

    I'll wait for your reply.
