Windows 10: Adobe chooses wrong Outlook default email

Because Microsoft has so many different iterations of Outlook, I can't get my Adobe pdf app to recognise New Outlook as my default email app. Instead it chooses my NON default Outlook 2013. But, my Outlook 2013 can't accept my @rogers.com email account because neither Yahoo nor Rogers will provide a third party app password, making Outlook 2013 useless for my preferred email. I encounter the same problem when I try to email a Word docx, as the wrong Outlook is brought up.THANK YOU in advance for your suggestions

Outlook 2016 - Error message "None Default Email Program" but there is one

In addition to the default Mail app, please also check default apps by portocol:

1. Open control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default programs.
   
2. Scroll down to find the option “Choose default apps by file type”
   
3. Make sure .msg is set to Outlook.
   

1. Go back and select “Choose default apps by protocol”
   
2. Make “MailTo” protocol is set to Outlook.
   

If none of this helps, there could be something wrong with the registry settings. Try steps in this similar thread to delete Outlook key and then repair Office.

 

Problem with Outlook 2016 not remembering default PDF app choice

Thanks for the suggestion. I wonder though if the issue actually has anything to do with the Adobe Reader? When I first observed the problem Edge was showing as the default PDF reader in Outlook's drop down list. It was possible to select Adobe Reader from the list, but even though we put a check in the box for Outlook to remember the choice it didn't. After setting the Adobe Reader as the default in Control Panel/Default Programs/ the icon on PDF files changed to the Adobe Reader icon and it replaced Edge as the first app in Outlook's drop down list, however Outlook continues to ask and doesn't save the choice.

One thing I wanted to try was repairing Microsoft Office, but strangely there is no entry in Programs and Features. I wonder if there's a way to run the repair from the command line?

 

Wrong email address in Mail app (windows 10 not Outlook)

I have a wrong email address that keeps appearing in the Windows10 Mail pp (not Outlook) that I cannot delete

There is no "X" to delete and using arrow keys and delete button does nothing

No, this is not in contacts, (Several people have listed this issue and MS keep posting how to go to contacts to delete it, its not a wrongly saved contact, its in the suggested emails only)

I have searched all of my separate mailbox contact lists, the wrong email address is not saved anywhere, This is in the suggestions, How do we delete the suggestions list if they cant be removed 1 by 1
