Windows 10: Adobe Flash Player APSB18-42 Important security update??

I ran BelArc advisor the other day and among other things : ) it showed that I needed:

Hotfix Id Severity Description (click to see security bulletin)APSB18-42 Important Adobe Flash Player security update for Flash Player 29.0.0.171 ActiveX 64-bit

I tried looking for a number of "just" stand alone downloads but it seemed I had to jump through hoops. I found some instructions that led me to open this in a Chrome Browser tab:

chrome://components/

and saw this:

Adobe Flash Player - Version: 32.0.0.101


Status - Up-to-date
Check for update

---
So is this an indication that Flash is up to date in Chrome but perhaps "the flash player" program itself is not up to date hence the warning above from BelArc advisor? Am I good or do I need to jump through hoops and actually update the Flash player exe? TIA.

Windows 10 manages security updates for Adobe Flash player?


Hi,

Does Windows 10 now manages all the security updates for Adobe Flash player?
I noticed that on the updates history list it shows Adobe Flash player updates.

Is this true?
