Windows 10: Adobe pdf Text recognition error message

I scan text pages using HP printer app for my HP printer/scanner and save on my computer. When I open the pdf file and try to have text recognized I get the Windows error message dialogue box "Windows - Entry Point Not Found" "Exception Processing Message 0xc0000139 - Unexpected parameters". What does it mean and why do I get this message and how do I or anyone fix it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????????????????????????

Trouble Opening PDF's

• Does the issue persist in Edge browser?
• Do you get similar error when you open the PDF file in Adobe reader?

Check if you are facing similar issue in Edge browser.



Step 1: Open PDF file in Adobe reader and check if you are facing similar issue.



To open PDF file directly from Adobe reader, follow the steps below:

• Open Adobe application and click on Edit.
• Click on Preferences and select Internet.
• Uncheck Display PDF in Browser option and check if you are able to open the PDF file without getting the error code.

Step 2: If you are able to open PDF file in Adobe reader, I suggest you to
Turn off Internet Explorer,
enable it again and check if the issue is resolved.

Adobe Releases Fix for PDF Security Flaw

Adobe has finally issued an update for its Acrobat Reader products. This patch updates Adobe Reader to version 8.1.1 and addresses several known issues, one of which is the PDF bug we reported here. Adobe recommends that all Adobe Reader 8 users apply this update.

• Close a potential security vulnerability on Windows XP computers that have Internet Explorer 7 installed (CVE-2007-5020); see the Adobe Security Bulletin (APSB07-18) concerning this issue
• Address several PDF forms-related issues
• Provide additional stability

Make Adobe Pro default PDF program

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions.

• Do you get any error message?
• How are you trying to set the program as default?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• Click on Start>Settings>System.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Default Apps.
• In the right pane, click on Choose default apps by file type.
• Scroll down to “.pdf” extention and click on the corresponding app on the right side of the extention and change it to Adobe and check for status.
