Windows 10: Adobe preview pane scale too small...

Hey guys,


So i think i am having a bit of a blonde moment. The scale in my windows explorer previewer for PDF files via Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is too small. This happened strangely enough i think by pressing a combination of keys by accident and don't remember the combination. This only happens in my extended display. I have a 15inch 4k display on my HP Spectre 360, Windows 10.


I have read through tons of threads and none seem to help. They were from a long time ago and was wondering if there is a new answer for this? The snag is it was working fine before i pressed the magical combination of buttons. Scale for explorer previewer was never an issue before. It works for excel and word perfectly on my extended display, just not adobe. I have tried all the adobe thread fixes and nothing works.


I'm at the point where i want to factory reset the laptop but that will create a loooooong list of setup downloads and configurations that i would like to avoid.


Below is an image of the symptom. Topic should've been Adobe compatibility with windows, but i suppose windows settings would be closest to the symptom.

If there are any fixes you are aware of that are recent, please share.

Preview Pane error in 150% scale

Display scaling in Windows 10 allows you to personalize how you big or small of a view the different applications and files on your computer will use. A possible reason as to why a certain function in an application is not working as intended with scaling
could be due to compatibility. For us to resolve your concern kindly answer the questions below:

• We would like to request a before and after screenshot of the preview pane which is not working properly when scaling is used in Windows 10 if possible?
• Since you have provided the version of Windows 10 that you have, we would also like to confirm what is the build number?

Hi,

Setting the Preview pane to show or hide in File Explorer will apply to all folders. If you wish to hide the Preview pane in File Explorer, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Open File Explorer.
• Tap on View tab.
• Click Preview Pane to view/hide it.

Video in the preview pane

Thank you so much for your reply.

What I really need to know is how get the video to play in the preview pane. Prior to Windows 10, this worked wonderfully and was an asset. Now, it requires making changes to the Windows registry - not recommended due to the enormous amount of issues with
Windows 10.

Any other suggestions?
