Windows 10: ADR 2013 crashing

Hello everyone,


I've downloaded Autodesk Design Review 2013 and it is working fine except for one thing which is the option "Add Digital Signature". This option draws from a digital signature certificate which is stored in my computer and generated by another program -> the official citizen card program of the Portuguese Government. It requires our identity card to be connected to the computer via a card reader. It normally works on other computers but this is the first time I am trying it in this computer and whenever I click the option, I see on my bottom tab that a window called "Windows Security" (Segurança do Windows) has opened although it never gets big or allows itself to be seen and then right away the program crashes. I am guessing this must be some permission issue or compatibility but I don't know what to do! I would really appreciate some help!

ADR 2013 crashing

I have tried to run as administrator and it only compromises the program even further (it doesn't allow me to merge files as an admin). I have tried now an even earlier version with the same results. I checked with some colleagues and they all use ADR 2013
in Windows 10 so it must not be a problem of compatibility. I have indeed tried to run it in different compatibility modes.

I would really appreciate any help. The autodesk support forum has left me without any answers. I honestly don't think they care about everyone in Portugal who needs to hand in documents digitally signed or else they wouldn't have removed this feature from
the 2018 version which is most recent one...

Hi anaritamfolgado,

You may try to run the program as admin. To do this, right-click on Autodesk Design Review 2013, then select
Run as administrator. See if that would sort it.

Another factor that could cause this hindrance is due to outdated or compatibility issues with the older versions of the program.

You've stated that this program works on other computers, have you tried to compare the system specifications and build of both PCs?

Although we can check for workarounds, it would be best to also consult the developers of Design Review 2013.
