Windows 10: Ads in Windows Explorer Prey Upon Unsuspecting Victims

I mentor someone who speaks English fluently, but has limited computer skills. They type at a speed of <12 wpm and have difficulty spelling words. In a recent session we were disrupted in the middle of trying to search for information in a web browser no less than four times by ads.I am utterly and completely disgusted with the current state of Windows. This is directly antithetical to education and continually takes attention away from learning English spelling and grammar, and basic computer literacy. So how did the bar get to the floor, Microsoft? You have nothing people want to buy. I r

Uninstalled Windows Store Game (Prey) on C Drive and the space is still occupied

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



It might be that some leftovers are still present for the Prey game on your computer, so please follow the below steps and check if you can delete those leftovers.



Go to C:\Windows\Prey and select everything in the Prey folder and press the
Shift and Delete keys to delete these files permanently.



Also, you may want to go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Saved Games\Arkane Studios\Prey and delete the files present in
Prey folder by pressing the Shift and Delete keys.

1. Also, check if you have the Prey folder contents by pressing the
   Windows and R keys > Type shell:appsfolder > Hit
   Enter.
   
2. Then, search for the Prey game folder and press the
   Shift and Delete keys to delete the folder contents.
   

If you want to free up more space, then you can follow the steps mentioned in
Free up drive space in Windows 10 and free up some more space on your computer.

Windows Explorer Replacement?

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
