    Advance hard drive question.

    Hello all,

New here. I have a question about advance format 4k hardrives. I have been putting desktops together from various parts from the thrift store the past few years. All machines work okay, but I ran into this advanced format stuff when formatting a drive. Been looking into it and from what I gather, vista and up support it. I ran this at cmd prompt, and I see my drives seem to support the advanced format, but the bytes per sector says 512. Did I format these incorrectly, or is this correct that I see 512.

On this current machine I am on, Dell optiplex 755, I see this from cmd:
    C:\Windows\system32>fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo c:
NTFS Volume Serial Number : 0x01d35e73bc407ff0
    Version : 3.1
    Number Sectors : 0x00000000065a77f8
    Total Clusters : 0x0000000000cb4eff
    Free Clusters : 0x0000000000627646
    Total Reserved : 0x0000000000000480
    Bytes Per Sector : 512
Bytes Per Physical Sector : 512
    Bytes Per Cluster : 4096
Bytes Per FileRecord Segment : 1024
Clusters Per FileRecord Segment : 0
Mft Valid Data Length : 0x000000000a780000
    Mft Start Lcn : 0x0000000000000495
    Mft2 Start Lcn : 0x0000000000000004
    Mft Zone Start : 0x00000000006fb820
    Mft Zone End : 0x00000000006fb840
    RM Identifier: 00617960-CA67-11E7-9F4B-806E6F6E6963

The question is am I using this drive as advanced? All my other mahine's drives say 512 bytes per sector as well.
Any light you can shed will be helpful.

    Thanks

    :)
