Windows 10: Advance Start up > Advanced options password disable

I was looking at an article on how one can reset a windows password if you've

forgotten it by going into Advanced Startup


Press the shift key + restart to boot to Advanced Startup

Select Troubleshoot

Select Advance Options

Select Command prompt


And then running some various cmds that, when you reboot and then click on "Ease of Access",

it brings up the command prompt so you can run a net user cmd to reset the pwd


However, in Advanced Startup, once one selects "Command Prompt" and all the local accounts appear,

you are prompted to enter in a pwd for that account.


But, if one has forgotten the pwds, that seems to negate the whole process.


Is there a setting where one can disable, or turn off the pwd requirement for Command

Prompt in Advanced Startup settings?


I've gone through the BIOS and didn't see anything obvious there.

How to Disable Advanced startup options On my PC when I turn it on it comes up with Advanced startup options screen, start win 10 , start win 10 in safe mode, start with networking, troubleshooting, and so on,. How do I turn it off, Disable,
so it will take me right to my sign in screen. All I find on internet is how to enable this screen or advanced boot options, where is the command settings and how do I set them please , Thank you

 

No Troubleshot option in Advanced startup menu..

• How exactly are you accessing the Advance boot option?
• Are you using Windows 10 installation disk to access the Advance start up options or trying to access through Windows?

I suggest you to follow the below path and check if you are able to see the Troubleshoot option:

• Open Settings, and click/tap on the
  Update & security icon.
• 
  Click/tap on
  Recovery on the left side, and click/tap on Restart
  now under Advanced startup. Check if you are able to view the
  Troubleshoot option.

  When you say “disabled my ability to enter the password”, are you not able to type the password or are you getting any error message while trying to type the password?

  Are you able to login using a different user account?
