Windows 10: Advanced internet file sharing

Windows file sharing: For many years, I have been able to connect my 5 to 9 computers to a Windows file share network; however, in the last six months, the files have not connected with the file server. I have fixed the file server and a windows 11 laptop and a windows 7 desktop but not this windows 10 desktop. The file server is a windows 11 desktop.I have checked the advanced file sharing, internet to be sure on the same network and found that the file server needed to have a box unchecked re requiring a password to enter. That allowed me to reconnect the above two computers. This one

Is it possible to share internet connection via remote desktop?

RDP is not capable of Internet sharing, so you can't share Internet using RDP with standard applications. There are many way to share Internet from a Windows box to another one. I suggest you to use VPN. You should do following steps:

1. Run VPN Server on your server with unlimited internet access
   
2. Connect to VPN server from your limited computer
   

 

what's the difference between sharing and advanced sharing?

1.what if

1)userA is listed in the "sharing", while not listed in "advanced sharing";

and 2) userB is not listed in the "sharing", but is listed in the "advanced sharing"

then which user has access to the shared folder?

2.what cause more confusion is the output of "net share" command,

which contains "Users" and "Permission", while it's consistent with neither "sharing" nor "advanced sharing".

Step-1. Disable wi-fi adapter.

Step-2. Enable it again.

Step-3. Create wi-fi hot spot again.

Step-4. Now share network connection from where internet is connected to wi-fi hotspot adapter.
