Windows 10: Advanced Power Option for Networking in Win10

I have a 2020 Spectre X360 15 EB000. Version 1909, Build 18363.900. My Advanced Power Options does not have a network setting to allow me to able / disable networking while plugged in and in sleep mode. Does anyone know how to add this option, and whether or not adding may cause other issues?

For me, having this option would allow me to circumvent the Modern Standby issues where my X360 will not stay sleep while plugged in. The ability is there in 'power and sleep' to turn off networking in battery mode only.

Network Adapter - Power Option for WakeOnLan set via Registry - Win10

Dear gurus,

Im looking for a way to set up the power management option for a device (im OK to find out device ID in registry) exactly like this:





Maybe you can also explain all three options what do they do, because Im looking for as simple as possible way to:

• Wake On Lan turned off device (there will be no hibernate, sleep, lock etc, only turned off)

• device should be turned on all the time, but will be piwered via PoE, therefore only time when the device will shut down is in case of loosing power from PoE or accidently manualy turned off (there is no power button on the device, so i can turn it back on, and device is fitted to the wall so wont be easy to reach the PoE cable to unplug and plug back to power it up)

• what is the "magic" packet? the setting "only allow magic packet" is quite confusing, is there any other "nonmagic" packet which can be used for WOL the device?

I have only find some link in support microsoft link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...etwork-adapter but it seems ot be quite outdated for win 7/8, not for win10 IoT

 

Missing Advanced Power Options

Yup and that is also what I have on all of my other win7, win8, and win10 PC's. Except my new one i.e. the subject PC in the OP. I'm really pissed. Windows is just awful. I have spent over an hour online reading dozens of posts with the same issue and not one single person has found a solution to restore all of the advanced power options

 

Windows 10 Power Options Not working

Method 1: Use the hardware troubleshooter to fix the issue

The Hardware Troubleshooter is an automated tool which will check the hardware connected to the computer for any known issues with it and provides the details and on how to fix them. Follow these steps and run the troubleshooter.
Follow these steps:

• Press Windows key to get the Start menu.
• Type Troubleshooting in the search box right up corner and hit enter.
• Click on Troubleshooting tab.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
• Select the power options from the list.
• Click Next to run the power Troubleshooter.

Method 2: Also I suggest you to create a new power plan and check if it helps.

• Go to control panel and then click on power options.
• Then click on create new power plan.
• Change the power plan accordingly and check.
