Advanced Settings missing from "Region and Language" screen

Hi Alexander,

Updates on computer is one of the possible reason why there are some changes with the interface of your Advanced options. We'd like to clarify, were there any changes made prior to this issue? You may also change the language for each application by following
the steps below:

• Click Start menu and go to Settings.
• Select Date and time.
• On the left side click Region and language, then select
  Language.
• Click Language choose Advanced settings.
• Under Switching input methods check Let me set a different input method for each app window.

Advanced Settings missing from "Region and Language" screen

I am using a german version of windows that I set to english by installing the language packet. Now I want to set up my keyboard layouts so that I can set a different language for every application, instead of switching between the layouts globally.

This option used to be under "Region and Language - Advanced Options". The Advanced Options are simply gone now though. Is that option hidden somewhere else?

Windows 8.1 update changed the language, can't change back

Maybe, these will help... it seems it is a common enough problem.

Language packs are no longer available after you upgrade to Windows 8.1

Change your Windows display language

  (If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
• Tap or click Time and language, and then tap or click Region and language.
• Tap or click the language that you want to set as your display language.
• Tap or click Set as primary to move the language to the top of the list. If the language can become your Windows display language, you'll see Will be display language after next sign-in appear under the language.
• Sign out and then sign back in to finish.
