Windows 10: Advice needed (Logic Pro X)

Hey everyone, I'm looking to buy a new laptop. I'm a Windows fanboy to the core, done my research and it's the obvious choice for me. It also suits my main job better than a Mac could.

That being said, I'm getting into music production on the side (professionally) - about a 50/50 split with my main job - and I've realized Logic Pro X is the PERFECT for what I need in terms of that half of things...

...but it's Mac-only. Damn.

Do I:

1. 
   Suck it up and get a Macbook even though I prefer everything about Windows
   
   
2. 
   Buy a Windows laptop and settle for a worse (subjectively) music production software that I'd constantly be resenting
   
   
3. 
   Buy a Windows and then a really cheap Mac solely for music (not keen on this idea as I need good processing power for Logic, and I'd really like to have everything in the one laptop so I can take my setup with me wherever I am)
   
   
4. 
   Buy a Windows laptop, purchase Logic, and then run some sort of emulator on the laptop so that I can use Logic through Windows (not sure if I'd lose performance/functionality this way, and even though I'd still buy Logic though Apple's app store I'm the not sure if it's even legal lol)
   
   
5. 
   Something else?
   

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm posting in this Windows sub because I imagine all of you will prefer Windows just like me Apologies if it's too unrelated to the general discussion

P.s Price isn't really a concern, this laptop will be an investment. I'll be using it for a looong time.

Advice required - Post Upgrade - Suspect Pro 2 is Bricked

Before try that, have tried resetting the UEFI options?

To reset the Surface Pro to the default UEFI settings, follow these steps:

• Press the Power button and the Volume Up button at same time while are starting the Surface Pro device.
• Set Trusted Platform Module (TPM) to enabled.
• Set Secure Boot Control to enabled.
• Press Install Default Secure Boot keys.
• Press Exit setup, and then save the changes.

I guess the next logical step would be to report on the performance you can get with SLI in Linux. That'd be my suggestion anyway.

 

WD Discovery software - Surface pro X

Hi MS,

i'm unable to install the WD Discovery software on my Surface PRO X

going through the troubleshooting on WD website, they mention an issue with ARM based CPU and directed me to MS support.

please advice the steps to install the software
