    Advice on a Windows 10 Pro license purchased through currys.co.uk


    I purchased a Windows 10 Pro license through currys.co.uk but the download and license key never came through in my currys.co.uk order page and status remains "The activation is under process. This section will be auto-refreshed when key is available." for over a week.Currys are telling me I need to contact Microsoft as they do not have access to Windows 10 Pro licensing information despite purchasing from them and not being able to give me the license key or software at all.Is this something that Microsoft can help with? I have proof of purchase from currys.co.uk but have no Microsoft order r

    Where to purchase a Windows 10 license for a custom built PC?


    Maybe they didn't have it when you looked earlier, but the Microsoft Store now lists a downloadable Win 10 Pro for purchase:

    Windows 10 Pro: Upgrade or Purchase - Microsoft Store

    This is for the USA. It may be available from your country. (Or not.)

    Microsoft: Windows 10 Home costs $119, Pro costs $199



    Which is good news actually, because Windows 8.1 is loads cheaper than previous versions (retail licensing at Windows 7 OEM prices). And it sort of puts a huge hole in the Windows subscription theory.
