    Should I uninstall the Crimson software + driver prior to running the upgrade to Windows 10 [1511] and then install Crimson for 10?

    Or can I leave the new Crimson installation on 8.1 in place?

    CD/DVD drive not appearing in File Explorer since latest Windows 10 update

    Can you download the AMD Chipset Drivers (16.9.2) from the following link:

    Chipset

    Once downloaded can you extract the driver file with 7-Zip:

    7-Zip

    Right-click the radeon-crimson-16.9.2-sb-sata-ahci-win10-win8.1-win7-64bit-sep29.exe > 7-Zip > extract to "radeon-crimson-16.9.2-sb-sata-ahci-win10-win8.1-win7-64bit-sep29\"

    Then can you locate following folder:

    AMD Chipset Drivers\radeon-crimson-16.8.3-sb-sata-ahci-win10-win8.1-win7-64bit\Packages\Drivers\SBDrv\hseries\AHCI\WT64A

    In that WT64A folder can you locate the following file?:

    amd_sata.inf

    You might be able to leave the 8.1 drivers in place during the upgrade, but I suggest uninstalling them first and then installing the Win 10 version after the upgrade.

    It's not as if it was a huge lot of work.
