Windows 10: advpack.dll issue

I uninstalled C++ 2005 redistributable package (x86) because of a suggestion I read online to mod a game called Morrowind, and now I am trying to mod Witcher 1, and it is trying to install that same C++ 2005 package again. It;s a Steam game, so it detected it was missing. When I go to install it again, I get an error messge "windows/system32\advpack.dll error, or can't be found". So it won't let me reinstall the package. I also downloaded it separately from microsoft.com, and tried to reinstall it, and got the same message..


Any suggestions?

DLL Missing

The problem is, that the required DLL is not actually even listed there.
There are just dozens of download adware links from the top to the bottom.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

DLL Missing

I actually posted the link for the "list of troubleshooting steps to resolve your boost_threads.dll problems" which is located half way down the page. I did not mean to promote any downloads.

Why don't I just go back and indicate that on my original post? That way there's access to the 'step-by-step' instructions, which are accessed via those green 'plus' signs next to the topics.
