Windows 10: After 12/12/23 update I cannot play a music CD, it says DVD . What happened?

Before 12/12/23 I could play music CDs and now it will not play CDs and says DVD R/W in the description. How can I listen to music again?

Music CD's won't play on Media Player 12

Media Player 12 does not recognize the codec for my cd's when I load they are loaded and the play list generated.

This is the error message I received:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

I checked the list of codecs so this shouldn't be an issue.

 

music from media player 12 to phone crashes window 10

when I try to copy music from (which was down from CD's) media player 12 to my phone, it list all the song but will not play them it says it can not play them wrong format or corrupt but will play music which has been downloaded from internet

 

DVD Player won't Play Movies but will Play CD's

I have an HP Pavilion 23 all in one. When I insert a DVD it will not play. All drivers are up to date. I can insert a CD and it will play and I can transfer the music I choose to my music library but it does not play a DVD. Why would this happen?
