  1. After 1703, laptop no longer automatically connects wirelessly

Last week I went from 1607 to the CU 1703 and for some reason my HP ProBook laptop doesn't connect automatically to the network as it did before.
I can see the connection in Action Center and it say's connect automatically ( with a checkmark beside it ) but I now have to manually click on the SSID which is listed to get the network.
I went into the wireless adapter and made sure that it was checkmarked to connect automatically, and it is.
Bottom line, I can access the net by clicking on my SSID manually but it no longer does it automatically like it did on all previous versions of W10. It's just an annoyance and a mystery so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there is something I can change to get it to connect as it did previously.
    Thanks

    :)

  2. UJnable to print from Brother HL-L2320D laser printer

I work from home and split time between my HP Pavilion P6716 f-b desktop and my Lenovo Edge 15 laptop.

Both are wirelessly connected to an HP Photosmart 7520 All-in-one color inkjet printer

I also have a Brother HL-L2320D laser printer connected ONLY to the HP Pavilion through a USB cable.

I was able to print wirelessly on the Brother printer from my Lenovo laptop through my Verizon / Actiontec wireless router.

However after downloading Windows 10 it no longer works.

How can start printing wirelessly on the Brother laser printer from my Lenovo laptop again?

Xbox Elite Controller Home button doesn't open Game Bar while wireless

I recently bought the Xbox Wireless Adapter for my Elite controller after having used it for some time wired. After pairing it with the adapter the home button no longer brings up the game bar inside games even though I have that option enabled. It will
still bring it up if I plug the controller in with a USB cable, and Win + G will still bring it up regardless. It just doesn't work will connected wirelessly. I'm on Win 10 Pro, Version 1703, Build 15063.138.

I had similar problems after the creators update when resuming from hibernation. See this thread where my fix was shown to cure problems at start up too.

    Wifi not connecting auto anymore.

Uninstall the device and driver in Device Manager, then remove the device after you power down. Boot back up and let the bios update that the device is gone, then Windows will update that it is gone. Then go into the Registry and remove "Config" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network, then shut down. Reboot and again let Windows get an inventory of attached devices and it may enable your onboard wifi, which is fine. Let it do that. Shut down and then attach the USB wifi, turn on and go into the bios and disable the onboard wifi if there is a bios setting. I always turn on Legacy devices, due to there are times that when the USB allows a bit extra voltage due to Legacy devices are enabled, Windows does take it quicker to connect to the network, but that also means that your gateway has not placed your assigned IP to the MAC into a green mode.

  6. I had set chkdsk /f to run the last time I shutdown the laptop and this morning it ran the chkdsk. After rebooting from chkdsk, it was automatically connected. At this point I will have to wait and see if it happens again.
If so, I will follow the advice to see if that will correct it. Thanks for the response's.
bro67, you said "Shut down and then attach the USB wifi, turn on and go into the bios and disable the onboard wifi if there is a bios setting "
This isn't a USB WiFi, it's an internal card in the Laptop so I don't think it's a good idea to tear apart the laptop at this point, it would null my warranty. Thanks for the response and maybe I am misunderstanding your directions.
