Windows 10: After 1909 Update my tablet mode is "disabled"

Hello,


I have restored my O.S. a week ago, and after installing all the necessary drivers my laptop's touch screen were working just fine. Since Windows 10 Home 1909 Update they stopped working and I also noted that even the tablet mode is disabled.


After some research:

1. I have searched for the Touchscreen Driver in "Device management" > "Mouse and other devices" and that driver is not listed.

2. I have also read it could be enabled from "Settings" > "Tablet mode" but there is no such option.


I have a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4-1580 with Windows 10 Home x64. I also tried to install automatic driver update from Lenovo Support site but it didn't find that Touchscreen driver.


Any suggestions on what's going on? Thanks in advance.

Tablet Mode doesn't automatically turn on

Hi Roice,

We suggest you to follow the below steps to make the tablet mode permanent:

• Click start and select settings.
• Select settings and then select tablet mode.
• Now you have different options to choose from, please choose settings that suits you.

How do I permanently disable tablet mode in Windows 10?

Based on your description, it appears that the changes you made on the tablet mode settings did not retain.

Kindly provide us the following information to assist you better with your concern.

• Were you able to disable tablet mode before without disabling it all over again?
  
• Have you checked with other Windows 10 computers if the same issue is happening?
• To when are you encountering the issue? After you have restarted your device or right after disabling tablet mode?

For the meantime, let me share with you the steps below that should disable your tablet mode.

• On your Cortana, type 'tablet mode', and then press
  Enter.
• Select Table mode.
• Under 'When I sign in', choose Use desktop mode.
• Under 'When this device automatically switches tablet mode on or off', click
  Don's ask me and don't switch.

Tablet mode not working since Windows 10 update

• Could you please tell me if tablet mode is enabled?
• Could you please explain when you say "NOT A SINGLE ONE of my apps are to be found anywhere"?

I suggest you to follow the methods below:

Method 1

If tablet mode is not enabled,I suggest you to enable it by performing the following steps:

• Click or tap the Start button
• Open the Settings application
• Click or tap on "System"
• In the pane on the left of the screen scroll all the way to the bottom until you see "Tablet Mode"
  
• Ensure the toggle is set to either on or off to your preference.

Method 2

I suggest you to Follow the below steps to Run the System maintenance Troubleshooter:

Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on System maintenance .
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Method 3

The glitch issue might occur due to some corruption in the display drivers.So,I recommend you to update the display adapter and check.
