I have used Macrium Reflect to clone my smaller Drive "C" HD to the new larger HD. I want to rename the newer Drive to "C". What is the process to accomplish this action?

    Cloning Drive C:/

I bought a new hard drive so I could clone my main hard drive. The new drive was formatted after putting into an external hard drive bay connected using USB cable. I right clicked on my C:/ drive & chose copy. I then right clicked on my new hard drive F:/
and chose paste. It then started to copy C:/ to F:/, but it eventually failed saying I wasn't authorized to access certain files even though I'm the Administrator of my computer. It also said I had a bad sector on C:/ drive. I then reformatted C:/ & tried
to make a clone drive onto F:/. All that did was copy over ...

$RECYCLEBIN, Boot, Recovery, System Volume 1, bootmgr, BOOTNXT, BOOTSECT.BAK

It appears to me that all it did was make a boot disk in case C:/ drive failed to boot I could have the computer boot using drive F:/ which is not what I wanted. I already have drive E:/ for that in the same bay housing as F:/.

What I want is an exact clone of C:/ drive, every program & file on it!

    Anyone got any suggestions?

    Rename Drive Letter C?

I installed a new SSD drive and named it "E". Using Macrium software I cloned my "C" drive onto the new SSD "E". I also changed the boot order in the BIOS so it boots from "E." Now I want to swap letter names so my SSD drive becomes "C" and my old drive
    can be "E" or whatever.

The problem I'm running into is that you can not rename the "C" drive. Is there a work around?

    Thanks!

Will cloneing current SSD C: drive to larger capacity drive cause software (licensing) problems?

I currently have a Windows 10 PC with an SSD C: drive which is running low on space. (Note: second HD is standard drive containing D:, F:, and H: and I'm not planning to do anything on with it/them.) I'd like to purchase larger capacity SSD drive to replace just current the C: SSD.

If I install it as I: and clone the C: to it, then make it bootable with 'bcdboot':

    1. Do I make it the new C:? In the PC's BIOS or ?
    2. Will software realize this is a new drive (same PC) and cause problems with licensing? (Know you don't know all that I have on the drive but I'm mostly concerned with Microsoft Win10)

Thanks, in advance, for your help.
