Windows 10: After Adding GPU to Desktop Computer, All Audio Ports No Longer Function

I can play audio through my monitor but it doesnt detect headphones. In sound control pannel its says front and rear ports aren't plugged in, even if they are. I've tried driver updates and I dont have the option to roll back. I don't believe it to be the GPU causing the problem, but the computer was opened.

I was using a USB adapter for a while but it recently stopped working aswell.

After deciding to give Win 10 another shot, It was going fine. Now my audio drivers are no longer functioning. I followed the "Help" instructions and went to the device manager. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled. The audio came back for all of
5 minutes before I had to repeat the process. My PC is now mute unless I uninstall the driver and reinstall the driver. This is what caused me to go back to Win 7. First the audio goes, and then Cortana will crash for one reason or another.

Is there a permanent way to get my audio drivers working again?

  Did you update the audio drivers before upgrading to Windows 10?
  
• 
  Did you get any error message/error code before the audio went mute?
  

You may be facing the above issue due to the non-updated or in-compatible audio drivers installed on your PC conflicting with Windows 10 operating system.



Method 1: I suggest you to
update the
audio drivers from the Device manager manually by following the steps below and check if the
issue is resolved.

  Press Windows key + X keys on the keyboard and select on
  Device Manager from the options.
  
• 
  Expand Sound, video and game controller
  option.
  
• 
  Right click on the audio driver and select
  Update option.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions.
  
• 
  After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.
  

Method 2: If the issue persists, I suggest you to download the latest compatible audio drivers for Windows 10 operating system from the device manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.

Rear audio ports always show as “Not plugged in”


I've been having this issue with Windows for about a week now which NONE of the back panel/front panel connectors (speakers, microphone) are being recognized by Realtek audio manager. The only audio input/outputs that are showing are the optical.
Troubling shooting steps I've tried (none worked):

• COMPLETELY uninstall all Realtek drivers/reinstall
  
• Tried using windows drivers
  
• Reinstall Windows 10
  
• Upgraded chipset driver
  
• sfc /scannow

I called EVGA and asked for RMA but then I booted into a Ubuntu OS and all the ports work FINE. It must be a problem with windows 10.
Can you think of any other troubling shooting step I can try to fix this annoying issue? Thanks!
