    After an update, all of my Microsoft programs close after opening


    New pc, Win10 home. After all Microsoft updates, none of my windows or Microsoft programs stay open. Other programs do work, Firefox,etc. Example, open control panel, that works but when you open a program from there, it opens and then closes after about 2 seconds. Device manager, same thing.Searched every article I can find and am unable to get the programs to stay open to do a fix. I have cleared the last updates and got it to run long enough to do a reinstall but now the last update doesn't give me the opportunity to uninstall it so I am back to not being able to use any programs to repair

    Microsoft signals end of Paint program

    Microsoft has confirmed that it will continue to offer its graphics program Paint.

    In a recent update, it had listed Paint as a feature that would be either removed or no longer developed.

    Paint, renowned for its simplicity, has been part of the Windows operating system since its launch in 1985.

    Microsoft suggested it would not remain on Windows 10 by default but did say it would be available for free on the Windows Store.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
