Windows 10: after an update i have no sound box titled NuBoostControl says no device interfaces present...

After an update I have no microphone. On desktop a box loads titled NuBoostControl that says: no device interfaces present How do I fix this and get sound back? I have not deleted any devices or drivers so my microphone should be here but I don't know how to find the files.

No sound, a redundant title

• Since when are you facing this problem?
• Do you remember making any changes recently?
• When you play an audio file do you hear sound from the internal speaker?

I would suggest you to plug in an external speaker to check the status.



You may want to try the following and check if it helps.



Method 1:

Step 1: Check to see if the audio device is recognized in the device manager.

• Open Device Manager.
• Look for “Sound, Video and Game Controllers”. Check if your sound card is shown here.
• If the sound card is detected, then you may try to enable Playback devices.
• Right click on the volume icon in the windows system tray (in the right-hand lower corner of the taskbar), and then select
  Playback devices.
• Under Playback devices, select the default speaker and select
  Enable.

Step 2: Scan to look for the device if it is not detected.

• Open Device Manager
• Click to select your computer as the location for the scan in the menu bar.

3. On the Action menu, click Scan for hardware changes.

4. Close the Device Manager window and restart the computer.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Cheap Photo box that will get the job done

WEll i took on this project for PP hes a hardware reviewer and wants to get the professional looking pics for the Pc parts

Materials:

• Big cardboard box

• a razor

• white material 3 yards

• cone lights

• stapler

• medical tape

• pvc pipe about 6 inches longer than your box

• white paint any cheap finger paint would work

the project I'm guessing will cost me $30 if it works out properly
