Windows 10: After any Windows Update, any audio keeps popping or cracking

Hey everyone.I hope I can get help for this.I'm a music producer and I bought this new desktop to work at home.It's a Dell 13th Gen Corei7 2.10GHz with 32GB of Ram with Windows 11 PRO.I bought the computer and after a Windows Update, all my audio files while playing keeps popping and cracking.As a music producer you can only imagine how frustrating and annoying this can be. I originally though this was a problem with the Desktop so I contacted the store and gave me a new one to replace, but guess what?! Audio popping and cracking

My build System Builder - Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Quad-Core, GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB GAMING, Zondda-B ATX Mid Tower - PCPartPicker

I've had issues with my build since I built it 2 years ago. I replaced the gigabyte motherboard once, same issues. I got audio popping and its very annoying, sometimes more than others. It seems to happen the most on online videos youtube, twitch, netflix etc, but also on saved files. Doesn't seem to happen in video games.

Tried on all internet browsers. If I play this for about 30 seconds it's guaranteed to give me some audio popping, whether rear or front audio. Interestingly enough if I download the youtube video and play it locally on my computer...I get the same issue.

I've tried all different audio drivers, I've tried just about everything other than updating my bios. I'd love to solve this problem. Tried latencymon doesn't show anything huge. Thanks!

 

Troubleshooting Crackling and Popping Audio Issues on PC (Windows Interaction Only)

For the past few days, I've been trying to fix persistent audio issues where I constantly hear popping and crackling sounds whenever I interact with Windows. This issue occurs, for example, when pausing or unpausing a video, or when a Windows notification plays. However, I've noticed that the problem only arises when interacting with Windows. There is no crackling or popping when playing video games or using applications like Spotify.

Here are the steps I've already tried to resolve the issue:

• Completely reinstalled Windows multiple times
  
• Removed and reinstalled drivers (video, audio, etc.)
  
• Changed power settings
  
• Tried different headsets (the issue persists regardless of the hardware but doesn't occur when connected to a different PC)
  
• Tried multiple audio jacks and USB ports
  
• Updated BIOS
  
• Tried sfc /scannow / DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
  
• Changed audio format
  
• Disabled any enhancements
  

Despite these efforts, the crackling and popping audio persist, but only when interacting with Windows, not in games or other applications (For Example Spotify) but it still occurs when for example pausing video in browser etc.. . If anyone has further suggestions or solutions, I'd greatly appreciate it.
