  1. After bsod my c drive dissapeared in command prompt

Hello. 1. I installed wmvare, i think i added bad cpu setup or something, restarted pc 2. Pc gave error bad configuration BSOD 3. I entered in advanced recovery option then at command prompt i wrote A. Bootrec /fixmbr B. Bootrec /fixboot C . Bcdedit /export C:\BCD_Backup But i got error the error
The store operation failed The requested system device cannot be found

I did not use any usb, but the built in windows blue help screen. But since this error my c hard drive seems not detected by windows only by bios, in command prompt all my other drives show, mu d drive became c and so on. I checked all logucal drives, my original c with windows in it does not show up. Also using bootrec /scanos says i have 0 windows installations, but i think it s again because my original drive c is not detected since i used the 2 command above.

Can anyone help, i m dying here

command prompt will not open in safe mode with command prompt

Would I just follow the same steps within safe mode after hooking up to the other system?

Installation media boots to command prompt

I've just booted from known working install media to see exactly what it does when booting. The sequence of events is...

    1. Windows logo on a black screen
    2. circling dots appear beneath the logo
    3. light blue 'Please wait' screen with circling dots
    4. a command prompt window (very briefly)
    5. the initial Setup page appears

Do you see steps 1-3? If so, it appears you have stopped at step 4, suggesting that something on the disc cannot be read.

Does the disc boot properly in another machine? If so, try cleaning the laptop's drive lens then try booting from the disc again.

If not, make new install media with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool, either as a bootable USB, on an ISO that you can burn to another disc. At Step 8 in Option One of this tutorial you can choose between making a USB or an ISO.

    Download Windows 10 ISO File

  4. After bsod my c drive dissapeared in command prompt

    command prompt is x:\windows\system32

My computer crashed and I have tried everything I can think of you restart, but the command prompt starts with x: instead of c: I've tried the fixes suggested and listed below:

In Command Prompt, type DISKPART, press Enter.

When it loads type LIST DISK.

Choose the Windows hard drive by typing SEL DISK # with # being the desired disk number from results.

Then type LIST VOL which will provide a list of the various partitions with their assigned drive letters in Recovery mode which may be different than in Windows.

But when I type in DISKPART is says There are no disks to show

    Any ideas?
