Windows 10: After computer is connected to the Ethernet device, the 4G module cannot access the Internet.

My IPC is installed with WINDOWS 10 IOT ENT2019 LTSC ENTRY operating system and 4G LTE wireless module. If there are no other Ethernet devices, the industrial computer can access the Internet normally, but after connecting to other Ethernet devices, the industrial computer cannot access the Internet.

How to connect Mobile Broadband device to act as internet access for Ethernet hub?

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to give remote access to a vendor to his device by connecting a Mobile broadband device with 4G internet access to an Ethernet hub. I have connected via a micro usb to Ethernet adaptor and the device can be seen.

However I cannot get internet access as it does not recognise the IP address as it says it is invalid

Please help

1. Open Admin command and type: ipconfig
   
   
   
2. Win+X->Control Panel->Netwok and Sharing Center
   Follow the screen shot. This should disable internet access from this PC but allows access to local device(s)
   NOTE: Use the IP & Subnet Mask from step 1. Leave Default gateway & DNS Server blank
   
   
   

 

Data trough 4G mobile broadband connection blocked when ethernet connected

It seems like my 4G mobile broadband connection gets completely blocked by Windows somehow when I am simultaneously connected to a regular wired ethernet connection. The 4G connection is online and working fine, and the moment I connect an active ethernet
cable to the ethernet port all Internet traffic dies. Windows will still detect an Internet connection on the mobile adapter (it says connected with Internet access) but it won't let any data trough. This is is a major problem as I often need to be connected
to wired ethernet networks w/o Internet connection for work purposes, while using my 4G connection for Internet access. This also breaks sharing of the 4G connection to the ethernet adapter which I also use a lot. I've tried changing the routing priority for
the adapters (low metric for the 4G connection, higher for the ehternet connection etc), I've tried with different 4G and ethernet adapters and on different computers (DELL & HP) all running Windows 10 ver >1709 and it's the same result. So this seems to be
a general issue with Windows 10, possibly since the fall creators update. It works fine on Windows 8 and on Ubuntu.
