Windows 10: After cumulative updates which came with Windows 2004 version, my keyboard is typing wrong...

So I have not installed the full update yet. It installs till 94% and then undoes it. But I have installed the rest of cumulative and mini updates so after I installed those, my keyboard has stopped functioning normally. It types wrong characters. It's not like keys are misplaced, it types out characters which are not even on the keyboard.

Sometimes after an hour or so it automatically starts working like normal but most of the times it does not. I have same issue with virtual keyboard too so it's of no use to me.

So far Ive tried changing the language settings, num lock on/off and other things but they have not worked for me. I have not yet reinstalled the keyboard driver which most of the blogs/article recommend for non functioning keyboard. I'm little scared to do that. Can anyone please help me?

Thank you for posting your concern. In some cases, this is happening if your keyboard layout is not configured properly or set to UK keyboard layout. Because in UK keyboard layout it will give you " instead of @ when you press Shift key + 2. Also, this could
also be an issue with the hardware itself. We would like to know more information, please answer the following questions below:

• What is the build version of your Windows? To check it, tpye in winver
  on Search bar and hit Enter.
• When did this issue start?

Meanwhile, you can perform the following troubleshooting steps:

• Change the keyboard layout. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Region and language > Click on Add a language and choose English, then choose English (United States)
• Disconnect and reconnect the keyboard.
• You can also run Keyboard troubleshooter. Type in troubleshoot on Search bar and open it, then look for Keyboard and run it.
