Windows 10: After each major upgrades on Windows, offline maps unexpectedly disappear from the features...

It seems that after the upgrade, the Windows input method and Windows Maps need to be reinstalled. I'm worried that restoring the input method and maps will take a long time. Every time I upgrade, I have to re-download the offline maps and input method. The download speed is terrifyingly slow, and I've lost offline maps on my previous computer. The files are still there, but they can't be found in the settings, and the offline map option is empty. How can I restore them? Why can't we directly download the offline map files from the website for map deployment? Why do we have to download and upd

Offline Maps disappeared

Hello, months ago I downloaded some offline maps on my desktop which is not connected to Internet and it worked fine.

Now Maps does not work anymore, since my Offline Maps disappeared. Is it possible that offline maps expire after a while and they are deleted automatically?

If you wish to download the offline map for Pakistan, then it is currently unavailable on the Windows phone. We suggest that you send a suggestion on the Feedback Hub so we can add it on the next update. To send a feedback on your phone, you can follow the
steps below:

• Go to All Apps, search for the Feedback Hub app.
• Open the menu icon at the top left side.
• Select Feedback, then at the top right side, tap the
  add button (+).
• Select Suggestion and fill up the box with the details needed.
• Select the right category, and then submit.

You can also download any alternative applications from the Store that support offline maps.

NO Maps Offline

Let's perform first a soft reset by holding both the volume down and power buttons for about 10-15 seconds till you feel a vibration then release. Once done with the soft reset, follow steps below:

Offline maps:

Download maps over Wi-Fi before you go, then use the Maps app to search for and get directions, even when you're offline.

1. On Start (Windows icon), swipe over to the All apps list, then select
   Settings > Apps > Offline maps.
2. Select Download maps, and then choose the region you want to download.

Tip: To save space on your phone, save your offline maps to an SD card. In
Settings > Apps > Offline maps, select the name of your SD card from the options under
Storage location.
