    After every Windows update my computer will randomly just go to sleep while I'm using it,...


    To be clear it fully goes into sleep mode and I have to press the power button to wake it up. Hitting keys does not stop it going into sleep mode once it starts, the screen just flickers and that's it, it's asleep. I have to wait for it to fully go to sleep then wake it back up. In the middle of a zoom meeting this is very aggravating.I've already updated my graphics driver, changed my sleep and screen settings to never go to sleep and turned off battery saver, but it keeps happening. Every time. Every update. I try my hardest NOT to update because it makes everything so much worse. It's awf

    After Windows 10 Anniversary Update Computer Not Sleeping

    Hello.

    Does disabling the HID-Complaint Touch Screen driver resolves the issue? If yes, we suggest that you disable it and see if your device go into Sleep mode after a period of inactivity.

    We also suggest to check if the settings of the Power Options of your device are set so that the device will go into Sleep mode after a period of time. You may follow the steps below to check is Sleep mode is enabled on your device:

    • Press the Windows button + X, then click on
      Power Options.
    • Click Change when the computer
      sleeps.
    • Change the settings to your preferred settings.

    Computer Randomly Turns on From Sleep

    I only saw this thread now, otherwise I would have suggested this sooner.
    I had that same problem you are having, my computer was waking-up from S3 and the culprit was my X7 mouse.
    powercfg -lastwake also listed the HID keyboard device which was an extension of the mouse.
    Besides going in device manager and setting everything to not being able to wake-up the computer from S3, I also did this to the power profiles:

    Random sleeping

    My upgraded W10 machine has several issues NOT solved by MS updates.

    • Randomly goes to sleep.
    • Scheduled maintenance fails
    • Wake up task does NOT run
    Does anyone have a solution to these issues that will work?
