Windows 10: After format can I still do a factory reset?

I need help, my friend got her laptop connected for the first time in the internet and she didn't notice that the windows update runs automatic and she got an notice to restart and update, after that when she returns there are some unwanted apps got installed and her files got corrupted by some ".moba" virus or something, then our friend tried to format it and got it, my friend now asked me to ask you good people, if she can still do a factory reset where the apps will be return from the very beginning when she bought that laptop or the apps of the format will show up instead? also she kinda let the technician transfer the windows to the SSD she bought so she can use the extra GB of the harddrive, will this be a factor? if the ssd got formatted and you want it to go a factory reset? please help thanks, still learning from this problem

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
