Windows 10: After going to sleep PC and when wake pc not asking for login password

We Already follow all steps.Sign-in Options: Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. Make sure the setting “If you’ve been away, when should Windows require you to sign in again?” is set to "When the PC wakes up from sleep".

Gotcha dalchina. I did as suggested from the link you left. Still does not ask for password on wake. So far nothing has worked.

Hello,

I recently had to copy a bunch of files from ole external drive to a new external drive. I knew it would take several hours (if not more) so I changed my settings to sleep after 5 hours so there were no interruptions.

Upon changing the settings back to 25 minutes, it still does not ask for a password on wake. It does show in sign in settings that authentication is require when PC wakes from sleep (this is in red text and the option When PC Wakes from Sleep is greyed out.)

I also went in to Local Group Policy Editor - Admin Templates - System - Power Management - Sleep Settings - and changed Require a password when a computer wakes from Not Configured to Enabled.

Nothing is working and I don't know what else to try. Help is appreciated. Thank you.

 

PC asking for password, when you wake the computer from sleep

When my PC goes to sleep and I get back on (wake it up) it always requires password. No mater what I have tried it still asks.... it's like it does not even look at my change to No Password.

I have tried over and over....still no change. I have tried changing in power settings still no change .... many ways I have tried without change....

Does anybody have a solution ???? THAT WORKS
