Windows 10: After Hiding Admin User Account from Login Screen, no modifications can be made to system

Using the following article, after setting my son to Standard user and myself to Administrator, I hid my admin account assuming I'd never need it again. But i now need to make a registry change to block access to the Microsoft Store.How to hide specific user accounts from the sign-in screen on Windows 10 Windows CentralNeedless-to-say ... the system did what it should and makes it impossible for the Standard User , the only account now visible for login, to modify system settings. Hide other user name from login screen


I have my user account which is connected with ms account which shows my email along with my user name on login screen. I made one more admin account without ms account and made it a default user with password. Now on login screen on left side both my accounts show up. Is there way to hide my original account from this login screen because I do not want anyone sitting with me could know my email as this account shows my email along with user name.

 

Hide Administrator account from Windows login screen

Open regedit and create new KEY SpecialAccounts\UserList in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WIndows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon by right-clicking the Winlogon folder in the left panel.

In this new subkey (UserList) right-click to create a DWORD value with name of the account you want to hide.





To show the account again, remove the DWORD, or alternatively you can set a value of the DWORD to

• 0 (default when created) to hide
  
• 1 to show the account again
  

You can immediately test that it works by pressing Win+L.

Hide the administrator account in the login screen?


Assuming you are referring to the built-in Administrator Account.

My suggestions :
1. Give the built-in Admin a password only you know. That way, other users cannot access it even it shows up on screen. And you will be able to logon to it easily.

2. Disable the Admin Account ...........
Logon to your own account with admin rights.
Right click at tart > select Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this .......
net user administrator /active:no
> Enter.
The Admin Account will not show up on sign in screen.

To enable the Admin account, in the Command Prompt (Admin), type............................
net user administrator /active:yes

Not sure if that is what you want.
