Hi everone As said in the title, after I reinstalled Windows 10 it was originally windows 11 a partition on my hard drive is visible but unreadable. It doesn't appear with the lock and key icon on the partition and doesn't give me an option to enter the Bitlocker Key which I have and only the option to format the partition I can't cause I need the data

BitLocker Used Space Encryption only?

In my case, whenever I reinstall Windows (Clean Install), I always wipe all the partitions and only install Windows on the unallocated space. See image. Will it be fine to let BitLocker encrypt the Used Space Only again? - - - Updated - - - Hi, if anyone can suggest me an answer regarding from below I would appreciate it as I need to clean (reinstall) Windows 10. If I delete all the partitions only leaving the unallocated space from the image below, would it still be safe to have BitLocker encryption to encrypt the Used Space Only? This is not a new laptop or a new hard drive. It had data on it already. But my question is, by deleting all the existing partitions, and only leaving the unallocated space to reinstall Windows, will it be fine to select the Used Space Only option for BitLocker?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.

Manage Bitlocker

At Window ¨Start¨ enter encryption and select ¨Manage Bitlocker¨ option doesn´t exist in list subsequently can´t turn on Bitlocker. OMG, why must things always being that complicated and not living up to their own expectations. Or haven´t I forgotten to
do my homework?!
