Windows 10: After installing 21H1 update network HP printer Laserjet 100 m175nw prints blank pages

It seems history repeats itself. On my Windows 10 PC version 20H1 I encountered problems with certain updates old situation. So I used the MCT tool to update my system to 21H1 present situation. However, since that moment my printer HP printer Laserjet 100 m175nw only prints blank pages. It is not a hardware fault: an ubuntu PC prints fine to the printer so both the WLAN and printing capabilities of the printer function as they should.Looking for information in these forums and support forums elsewhere, I find similar problems for the June 2020 update, and also more recently in update

Install HP LaserJet 4M Plus

Printer is connected to router with EtherNet cable, was able to print test page which gives IP Address of: 10.0.0.81, and did find drivers but attempting to install with any of the LaserJet 4 drivers listed below, gives the error message, "Printer Driver was not installed".

This printer has both Postscript and PCL personalities.

Settings>Devices>Printers & Scanners>Add Printer and Scanner>[Clicked on the text, "the printer I want isn't listed"]>chose "Add a local printer" using existing port 10.0.0.81>did Windows Update and each of the following LaserJet drivers for this model of printer failed to install:

HP LaserJet 4 Plus
HP LaserJet 4/4M Plus PS 300
HP LaserJet 4/4M Plus PS 600
HP LaserJet 4/4M PS
HP LaserJet 4/4M PS (300 dpi)


the USB port mentioned in the 400 day old post on this topic was not a choice.

rig is an i9 7900X running at 4.5GHz w/32 GB Ram with an Asus X299 MOBA.

 

Networked Printer: How to print both sides?

Strange. I've never heard of duplex problems over network. We have never had such an issue with Xerox or Kyoceras.

You say it is missing odd pages. Often, with duplex printing, due to paper flow and reversing, page (side) 2 prints first, then page (side) 1, then page 4 then page 3 on the second piece of paper, etc.

Watch the paper. Is it being "sucked" back into the printer for the second side? (If is uses this method)... but just not printing it?

If you start printing from page 2 onwards, will it print the odd pages and skip the even ones?

Are you 100% sure it is HP Color LaserJet CP4005dn printer (CB504A) and not the CB503A model that is without the duplex feature? (I ask this question in case you have more than one printer, and they do look identical). Is there some way that the driver was misinstalled on ONE of them: PC or server.

Are you in Windows on BOTH the PC and the server?

Try the Postscript driver.
