Hello, I recently bought the renegade fury SSD and installed it successfully into my pc. After spending a whole day trying to figure out how to transfer and boot from it trust me I'm embarrassed as well, I ended up figuring it out by adding a fresh install of windows 10 using the Windows Media Creation tool. It appears as though my old Hard Drive is still being used when I play games or use apps though, as it spikes to 100% while my SSD is usually at 1% or 2%. I can definitely see a performance difference as well in my pc loading times, so it is definitely installed correctly, and I don't fe

  2. Migrate Windows 10 to new SSD from HHD

Hi, i have installed a new SSD into my PC and would like to migrate Windows 10 into the new SSD from my old HHD. I do not have a USB or CD disk at hand and since im in quarantine i cannot obtain one at the moment. I was wondering though since i want to completely
reformat my HHD anyway could i reformat the HHD and when its fresh and only with Windows 10 installed could i then migrate the files onto the SSD and make it into the boot up disk without problems? Thank you!

Deleting file after cloning HHD to new SSD

Hi my name is Matt. I've just cloned my HHD containing my OS ( windows 10) to a new SSD

All I want on my SSD is the necessary files for windows 10 to boot and have all installed application on my HHD

I am wondering, is it safe to delete EVERYTHING from program files and program files x86 from the cloned SSD?

Does windows have any important files in program files and program files x86 or are these folder only used for a user's application?

Many thanks for any responses After installing a new SSD and booting from it successfully, my old HHD is still at 100%... :)

    Edit:

An other random question, since I now boot my windows off a SSD, how can I delete all windows files off my old HDD. In other word only have the one bootable drive

this is what I am trying to achieve:

    Before installing SSD:

    HHD with OS and games

    After installing SSD:

    HHD - games

    SSD - OS

I've cloned my HHD so now my SSD has the windows files ( which i need) but has a load of duplicated files from the old HHD e.g. games ( that I don't want)

New windows 10 installtion on New SSD - wont boot unless old SSD present

It seems you installed Windows while the both SSDs were connected. This would have caused your current problem. Maybe it is sufficient to do this:

    1. Launch the Disk Manager.
    2. Right-click drive C:, then mark it as "active".
    3. Shut down Windows
    4. Open the BIOS and tell it that the new SSD is the primary boot device.
    5. Disconnect the old SSD.
    6. Boot up normally.

If this does not work then you might have to do this:

    1. Disconnect the old SSD.
    2. Re-install Windows on the new SSD, using the Media Creation Tool.
